An Ice Cream Bar as an Alternative to a Candy Bar
I had promised you this table a long time ago, I know... It's one of your favorite tables from our Fiestas book . Every time we post a photo of this Shooting, you love it.
I leave you a summary of what you can find, because I am sure that it will help you a lot in order to organize parties, Baptisms or Communions for this spring.
I believe that an ice cream bar or "Ice Cream Bar" as the British say, is an original alternative and can be much healthier than a Candy Bar. When the good weather arrives, there is nothing better and more fun than having a delicious ice cream . Setting up a table with ice creams of various flavors, colors, with lots of assorted Toppings will be a guaranteed success!
We start with the tricks, let's see if you dare to do it. 1,2,3 there it goes!
In this case the colors were very light. We wanted everything in pastel tones, very sweet and bright. I designed it thinking about my daughter Carlota's communion... Sorry mothers of anti-pink girls and boys!
Mint green, light pink, turquoise and a few touches of yellow bring this ice cream party to life. Polka dots and stripes are our chosen patterns that together with a fun signage will give us the "sweet" touch we need.
This table was a success at Carlota's First Communion, it was very hot that day and we set up this same ice cream bar under a tree in the garden.
To assemble our ice cream buffet we use these materials, here are some ideas:
1 Table of 180 x 60 cm. Hopefully not much bigger.
1 White tablecloth to the floor. We didn't want the legs of the table to show.
1 Photo frame for the Ice Cream poster Size A4 the common one everywhere.
1 metal basin with ice where we put metal ice cream cubes of different flavors inside. * Important explanation read below if you want "the cream" not to remain ;)
1 Support for cones and wafers. Hopefully with heights, a stand or similar.
2 large glass jars for toppings and cookies.
3 metallic buckets for Toppings.
2 Ice cream serving spoons and many wooden spoons for the Toppings.
1 Water dispenser and glasses. This we forgot to add and I think it is necessary.
Little cups for the ice creams and many, many napkins in the colors of our party.
The Ice Cream Signage... Basic for a WOW effect! you will find it here .
Toppings such as chopped biscuits, peanuts, mini candies, Friesians, cream, chocolate chips, dulce de leche, chocolate sauce... there are thousands of ideas, we can make it more or less healthy depending on the toppings we add.
* Ice creams in industrial boxes or tubs. Here is the difficulty of this table, since the ice cream on a hot day melts very quickly. In our case, we bought boxes of industrial ice cream and placed them on a large metal barrier with crushed ice. The truth is that it kept the cold for about an hour and that was enough. Likewise, I think that the best thing is that one person is in charge of serving scoops of ice cream so that they are not in the sun for a long time and it does not end up being a messy table... A piece of advice is to place individual closed tubs of ice cream, which last a long time. Better heat as an alternative.
The perfect complement for this party is the ICE CREAM collection from our Shop, I leave the link here . You will see crockery of all prices and qualities, yes... we have made sure that they all combine with the stationery for a perfect result. ;)
If, on the other hand, you want to give it a more adult touch, you can always add some element in black. Stripes or polka dots in black and white as a background can give a current and modern touch to this party and can even be ideal for decorating a dessert corner at a wedding or adult party.
These XL candy canisters are perfect if you want to add a touch of candy to your table. They carry 1.5 kilos of sugar clouds in the shape of small ice creams, ideal.
If you have time to spare... and you're a bit fricky like us, you can personalize your wooden spoons with Stamp with indelible ink. In our Fiestas book we show you the tricks to make it perfect. You will find these spoons here
These photographs are part of our Fiestas book published by Cúpula books from Editorial Planeta and were made by our dear Miriam Nuñez Kiss and Chips , the styling and production of La Fiesta de Olivia. I hope you like it and enjoy it as much as we do. :)
Me vendrían genial.
Y la otra duda, que colores son exactamente los abanicos del Kit Trend Party? Si me combinaran bien, creo que le darían un toque de color espectacular.
Muchas gracias!!!!!
