Last minute ideas for a Halloween party and a mother's confession.
There is little left, this year I am more behind than ever. My daughters don't forgive decorating the house with cobwebs and dressing up... every year we end up putting together a somewhat impromptu Halloween snack at home with friends.
I leave you with fun food ideas with a touch of terror but "cute" that I have compiled for a last-minute impromptu Halloween party. ;) Yes, apparently many times it's true that "At the blacksmith's house with a wooden knife", I don't always have time, I always run and I want to celebrate everything!
I will make this Halloween eye cake for sure this weekend! We can adapt the idea to any cake we make at home, we can cover it with whipped cream or a very thin layer of white fondant and "paste" open Oreo cookies. Our "glue" will be the same white cream as the cookies... We give the final touch with brown MM type chocolate balls. Great isn't it?
You can't tell me that making these "Hot Dogs of Horror" are not easy and so much fun to make! We need: Frankfurt sausages, Tomato Sauce or Ketchup and Hot Dogs bread. Once we have the sausages boiled, we remove a part simulating a fingernail, a bit of Blood and that's it!... disgusting but great. I love it!
Who doesn't like popcorn? At home we love them... and if we make them at home, they are a delicious and healthy appetizer. Well yes, dare to add different ingredients to your popcorn and play with flavors. Spices, curry, chocolate, caramel, powdered cheese... the combinations are thousands and there are some that are spectacular.
This recipe is great and very showy. Salted popcorn dipped in hot white chocolate (similar) and then scrambled with Halloween goodies. Fun isn't it?
You can see the complete recipe in butter with a side of bread
Well well... that can be spectacular. One day is one day... then during the week we return to a healthy and balanced diet :)
Sweets on Halloween are a key piece, an essential part of this party. I think this is one of those special moments of the year, that I turn a blind eye and let my daughters eat what they want... I get the streak of MALAMADRE :) how do you do it?
At Olivia's Party we have designed candy jars and a hand of terror that couldn't be more brilliant. I promise you that what they carry inside is what I let my daughters eat at these special times of the year... They are all the best quality candies and chewing gum that I have found in the Spanish market.
Because hey... there's a lot of candy out there, which I promise isn't very cool. At La Fiesta de Olivia, we sell candies without trans fats and we always try to make them Gluten free in case there is a child who is allergic to Gluten. I wish you all a fun Halloween party with your family and friends and that you laugh a lot, which we always need so much. :) A hug.
